Your story was so cute and I could clearly picture the scene you were illustrating. Also, I agree that supporting one another and caring for those close to us is very important.

Simi’s story, entailing the ominous storm and workers at the house, was very descriptive and painted a vibrant picture in my mind of what Simi felt and was experiencing during those moments. She also delivers the important message of being able to adjust to life’s circumstances, even when there are problems or obstacles keeping one from accomplishing his or her goals.

I love how you talked about never experiencing a storm even though it seems as though that’s impossible to not know about this coming from someone who has always lived on the east coast. I also liked how your mom was stern about your fears.

It was really interesting to hear your experiences about moving to the East; I’ve lived here my whole life, so I never really took thought into the fact that climates and environments are far different elsewhere. I also really liked the message; your mom seems like such a strong person, and I think it’s fantastic that she was able to instill such an incredible message in you.

Really well written, and shows a storm through a perspective that we not consider or remember: that of a child. I liked how you used this normal event to adults as something that shaped you.

I liked how you chose something (storm) that you know everyone has been through. Great perspective as well

When I was younger I was absolutely terrified of storms and bad weather. I found your story incredibly related and meaningful.
