Ryan’s story exemplifies the significance of maturing and gaining a sense of independence before young adults advance into their own careers, lifestyles, and worlds apart from their innocent, privileged childhoods; as any person transitions through his or her life, he or she should take responsibility and not depend solely on the people around them.
