  1. I think this story was really sweet and I love that your relationship with your grandmother was so fantastic. I think that this message is really important and I definitely agree that people can have effects on you as a person.


  2. I really loved the flame metaphor that you shaped your story around. It was personal and I could tell that your grandmother’s advice and presence has really shaped you as a person.


  3. I like the way in which Megan described how as a child, innocently playing with her grandmother, that she felt as if she lived in a made up world lacking problems and negativity. I believe as a child I experienced feeling this same idea, and I feel it is important to carry pieces of one’s childhood and maintain his/her individuality as he/she grows into adulthood and transitions through life.


  4. It’s always unfortunate to see a close relative go, and I agree that valuing the memories that were shared is the greatest way of remembering them.
