  1. I can direct relate to Dan’s story, as I too experienced a physical challenge with Tourettes through my elementary and middle school years; these times were extremely difficult for both of us and clearly have had great impacts on the lives we currently lead.

  2. This was truly an incredible story. I know some people going into neurosurgery, and it’s truly amazing what doctors can do now. I think this story shows true persistence, and it is extremely inspiring.

  3. I appreciate you being able to share this important part of you. An experience that was very challenging to endure through but an experience that would allow you to be Dan Smith. GO DAN!

  4. I’m so happy you got through your difficulties and turned an adverse situation into something you took charge of and worked hard to get to where you are. It shows how much you value your future and your education and that says a lot about a person,

  5. This is a brave story to share and it is awesome that you turned something bad into something good and you are THRIVING

  6. Very touching story on how nothing can truly stop someone as long as they work for it. If there’s a will, there’s a way.

  7. the way you talked about going through surgery and how you gained a cognitive disability but then overcoming it was inspiring since you didn’t let it get the best of you.
